Spring Updates!

Hello! We have some quick updates and information for everyone!

Uniform Reminders

• Please do not alter any uniforms without coach permission- this often increases the amount of refill uniforms we need and can cut into our budget
• Please wash the uniforms as directed on the tag or on gentle cycle (cold and inside out) and please hang to dry
• All uniforms handed out this evening are property of OPHS and will be collected at the end of the season

If your cheerleader did not receive all pieces, please don’t stress. We needed to order a couple of refills and we will make sure everyone has what they need.

Regionals has been set for November 3^rd and 4^th with State to follow sometime in December.

Also, we have set our car wash date for the summer. It will be on June 1^st and 2^nd at Oak Park. We will be doing a car wash/garage sale with the pom squad. The first time we did this fundraiser, we made quite a bit of money and would love for this one to be even more successful! Car washes help pay for music fees, team bonding, routine choreography/cleaning, and much more throughout the year. Everyone’s participation is extremely important. Please read through the information and email with any questions.

   

Parent involvement is extremely important and vital to the success of the program. Not only does it help our program run smoothly but it helps the program grow from the inside out. We are asking that every parent or guardian (at least 1 per cheerleader) join at least one committee to help in fundraising efforts, provide special decorations and treats for our athletes and begin organizing events from the beginning of the season. The different committees are: 

o Banquet

o Decorations (showcase, lockers and competitions)

o Booster Club (have a rotation to attend the meetings and help set up parents to work at concessions) ***need more for this!!

Please send us your preference and we will be sure to get you added to a group. It takes a village to allow this program to be successful and we really need all hands on deck throughout the year. Thank you in advance for everything you all do for your athletes!
