Hello and Welcome to the 2017-2018 Oak Park Cheer season!
We wanted to start off the season with some communication and update you with everything going on! Some of these cheer posts will be long but we really need you to take the time to read through the whole thing so you don’t miss out on any important information.
Just a reminder about the fitting on Tuesday the 11th. If they could be there closer to 6pm for uniforms that would be greatly appreciated.
One fundraiser we are doing currently is Mixed Bag. Your cheerleader should have received a catalog along with an order form and money envelope. There is no sales tax for catalog orders. In addition to the catalog orders, you may send this along to out of town buyers by using the Fundraising Code: 215890. Below this message is a sample email that you can send out. The profits from this fundraiser will be helping the OP Cheer Program as well as taking a fraction off your camp costs, clothing fees and other costs associated with cheer.

The catalog portion is due April 12th but you can continue selling online through the end of this month. Please make all checks payable to Oak Park Cheer.
We will also be accepting donations through June 11th. Coach Mayabb will have forms available at every practice. 90% of donations go directly back to your cheerleader so this is a GREAT way to cut costs as well.
Parent involvement is extremely important and vital to the success of the program. Not only does it help our program run smoothly but it helps the program grow from the inside out. We are asking that every parent or guardian (at least 1 per cheerleader) join at least one committee to help in fundraising efforts, provide special decorations and treats for our athletes and begin organizing events from the beginning of the season. The different committees are:
o Banquet
o Decorations (showcase, lockers and competitions)
o Booster Club (have a rotation to attend the meetings and help set up parents to work at concessions) ***need more for this!!
Please email us your preference and we will be sure to get you added to a group. It takes a village to allow this program to be successful and we really need all hands on deck throughout the year. Thank you in advance for everything you all do for your athletes!
