We are eager to start practices on April 5th. We also have a parent meeting at 6:30pm. We are looking forward to a cheerful season!

Post Tryout Information

Hello!

Pending you are apart of the next Oak Park Cheer season, here are a list of important dates for Spring. 

April:

5th- first practice (5-7pm) and Parent Meeting at 6:30pm

10th/12th- practice (5-7pm)

13th- Fitting with Varsity (6pm-8pm)

17th/19th- practice (4:30-6:30pm)

24th/26th- practice (5-7pm)

May:

1st/3rd- practice (5-7pm)

2nd- CONCESSIONS (will need parent volunteers)

8th/10th- practice (5-7pm)

15th/17th- practice (5-7pm)

22nd- practice (5-7pm)

Time off until June 5th!

Summer schedules will be communicated once the season begins. 

Summer Dead week- June 30th to July 5th and July 14th to the 23rd

NCA Cheer Comp- November 5th

Hello!

We are quickly approaching the NCA Competition we are hosting on Saturday, November 5^th. I do not have all the details yet, but will send more as they roll in. 

 

Navy will be competing that day to try and qualify for Nationals (I do not know what time but we will ensure all parents/guardians are able to watch their performance regardless of volunteer time). We will need all cheerleaders to attend in order to assist with the many moving parts of the day. We also need all hands-on deck from parents and guardians to run check-in, gate, hospitality room, practice facilities and the flow of traffic.

 

Please fill out the following form to select a time to volunteer. We are also looking for donations to the hospitality room as well. If you are able to make something, or bring something, please indicate that on the google form.

Important Back to School Dates!

Hi!

Wow, we are about to enter the season of having a ton going on! Here is a tentative list that I am sure will grow.

Wednesday- Uniforms

- Please wash them inside out and hang to dry

- No alterations can be made without Coach approval

August 8th- Fall sports parent meeting at 7pm in the Main Auditorium 

August 9th and 10th- Registration! If you would like A+ hours please see Coach Mayabb to help out with the backpack giveback from 12-4pm.

August 15th- Welcoming back all staff! 7-8am (we will discuss what to wear/building location details closer to the event)

August 18th- Freshmen Jumpstart! School communication should be going out to all freshmen parents about event details.

That evening is also the Back to School Picnic following our practice from 5-6pm. We will wear our Navy Camp outfit with white bows. 6-7pm is a time to meet and greet with teachers and learn where classrooms are.

August 19th- Senior banner photos at 3pm at OP 

August 19th- Jamboree at the DAC (Staley). Cheerleaders should arrive at 5:30pm in their white shirt camp outfit with their navy bow. 

We also need at least 6 parents to volunteer to work the concession stand. If you are available, please let me know and I will share all details with you!

August 22nd- Back to school! Cheerleaders will need to arrive at 7am in uniform to meet and greet students and staff. They will be given time to change before heading to their first class. \

August 23rd- Optional! Pizza and Posters after practice!

August 25th- Pictures during practice! Forms will go home on Monday (sometimes we have a tendency to lose them, if you need one sooner- please don't hesitate to ask and we will discuss what to wear closer to the event). Please be on time and meet at the Main Courtyard (if it is still closed off, we will move outside).

September 24th- Mark your calendars for Regionals at Avila University! A lot more details will come out in the coming weeks.
